This unicorn wall tapestry is a simpler rendition of the original version created in the 16th Century.
The The verdant mille fleurs pattern in the background is rather typical of the medieval style, especially in France. "Mille Fleurs" means a thousand flowers in French. The unicorn is shown chained to a tree, and encircled in a fence. The notion of capturing a unicorn was the goal of many quests in the medieval times.
This exquisite tapestry is woven from a luxurious wool and cotton blend. It comes fully backed with a lining and a tunnel for easy hanging.
La Licorne comes in two sizes to choose from: H 30 x W 24 inches (no border) and H 37 x W 30 inches (with border). Please note that the picture of the tapestry shows it with the border.
