This wall hanging was taken from a tapestry by Jean-Baptiste Huet that was woven for the first time towards 1780 at the Royal Manufacture of Neauvais.
This tapestry is part of a series of ten wall -hangings Tentures Pastorales - five with red draperies and five with blue draperies.
It is woven in France out of 95% cotton and 5% viscose. It comes backed with lining and a tunnel for easy hanging right out of the box.
Galanterie measures 82 x 50 inches.
