Feast of Soldiers
This is a small section of the Bayeux tapestry, depicting a feast amongst King William's soldiers.
This tapestry illustrates the saying, "Eat, drink and be merry for tomorrow you may be dead." The soldiers faced dangerous opponents, and were not favored to succeed. Perhaps their feasting led them to embrace life, and helped them conquer England.This piece will lend an air of merriment to any home decor. This tapestry is woven in France from a cotton and polyester blend.
There are several ways to show off this scene. The pillow cover comes velvet backed with a zipper closure and measures 19 x 19 inches. The wall hanging comes fully lined with a tunnel for easy hanging and measures 19 x 19 inches. This tapestry is also available as an unfinished panel measuring 20 x 20 inches.
