The Renaissance Chateau was built on an island by the Indre River in the early 1500’s.
It was constructed on piers by Gilles Berthelot, mayor of the city of Tours and the son of a wealthy courtier to both King Louis XI and King Charles VIII.
This medieval tapestry is imported from Belgium. Belgian tapestries are known for their fine weaving and intricate design. They are wonderful pieces you will be proud to display in your home.
This castle tapestry is made out of Chenille. It is soft to the touch and hangs very nicely.
Chateau Azay-le-Rideau is 56 x 80 inches. It comes finished with a tapestry rod sleeve so you can hang it easily.
