Known earlier for his abstract form of painting Bansemer has been working on representational subjects for quite sometime now.
A major portion of his work can be attributed to subjects of lighthouses. His fascination with nautical themes is obvious from this particular tapestry. These lighthouse or marine “beacons” as he refers to them are representations of real lighthouses spread across North American states of Florida, Georgia, North and south Carolina and so on.
Each lighthouse in this tapestry depicts a different mood; while one has waves lashing on the rocks, the other depicts a calmer scene, that of a fisherman with his boat. Even the angle from which each of the lighthouses has been painted varies.
So if you want to give your wall a unique look and feel and yet you are tired of the usual landscapes and floral motifs, this tapestry might be just what you are looking for.
Hand woven meticulously with a cotton and viscose blend in North America, this tapestry is backed with lining and has a tunnel that facilitates hanging.
